Don't ruin a beautiful Spring by fretting about Summer!

The corn is up in my garden,

I ate a radish yesterday,

There's blossoms on our tomato plants ,

and it's only the fourth week of May.

It looks like summer could be dry,

and it's sure been an early spring,

The experts are shuffling through their notes ,

to see which song they sing,

A few weeks ago they feared a flood,

today they're callin' for drout,

God forbid it should ever be... average,

They'd have nothin' to babble about.

Me, I'm riding my colts in the mornings,

other chores in the afternoon,

and I'm keepin' one eye on the Garden,

Some of them strawberrys will be ripe soon.
