Weaning Time 2004
Mike's Meadow Muffin For October 25, 2004
Weaning Time 2004 Three days, the snow's been falling, right across the West. As Weather goes at weaning time, this really aint the best.
Manure, mud and snow combine, to form a six inch lake of soup. Up and down the alley, all day long, We keep churning up this goop.
Wean and sort the steer calves, Then run them cross the scales. Foul weather don't stop postmen, sled dogs or cattle sales.
Midnight the last calf is loaded, and I sign the shipping form. Gumboots keep your feet dry, but they don't keep them very warm!
