 2004

It's a year,

that may look better,

once it's safely in the past!

To a fire and drought ravaged West,

The Rain,

returned at last.

The politics of greed and fear,

and one American catfish farmers cow,

have kept us broke for another year,

and it don't seem right somehow.

As a New Year, brings new hope,

For an early Spring, with lush green grass

And cows that'll be worth the hay they ate,

As better times come to pass.

For compounding all our suffering...

and boys this aint no joke,

I hope we only remember 2005,

as the year the NHL went broke!
