Mike's Meadow Muffin For January 17, 2005
It started leaking, back in August,
A little steel Hydraulic line.
A bit of rubber and a hose clamp,
seemed to stop the leak just fine.
A new piece of line was ordered ,
but soon haying time was done,
There was no rush to fix it then,
Fall roundup had begun.
Cold weather and Hydraulics...
any weak spot is bound to blow,
Now I'm out here pulling wrenches
when it's twenty five below.
Two hundred hungry cows,
skinned knuckles, frost bit fingers,
procrastination has a price,
As this bitter cold snap lingers.
