A Discouraging Word
It gets beyound discouraging,
It's really downright strange,
What urban buerocrats are doing ,
with the laws out on the range.
Out West of the Frazer River ,
In the Village of Alexis Creek,
The new forest service range cops,
Had a hearing just last week!
It seems they can fine a rancher fifty grand,
if his cows should cross the line,
Between his range and the neighbours,
as they graze among the pine,
You can survive the drought and BSE,
cope with wolves and grizzly bear,
Only to have the government boys,
pick your carcass bare.
