Mike's Meadow Muffin for May 8 2006

Early May Reminders

I planted the onions in my garden,

and the first few rows of corn,

Along with; lettuce, peas and radishes,

Which don't mind a frosty morn'.

We branded calves last weekend,

the hills are getting green,

in the weeds along the river bank,

some goslings I have seen.

Signs of new life everywhere,

in the pastures, hills and yard,

Reminding me to head to town,

And buy my mom a card!
