Empty Saddles
and an enduring legacy,

An empty saddle on an old horse,

A symbol of those who have gone before,

The old hands and pioneers,

who aint with us any more.

But old cowponies are good teachers,

as long they can walk or trot.

An old saddle should be ridden,

not hung on some wall to rot.

An Empty saddle on an old horse,

Sounds like a mournful cowboy song…

But if you give some youngster a leg up

That saddle won’t stay empty long!
