Seasonal Priorities!

It’s just a week ‘til branding!

Boys, now I’m on the run,

Between a slow Spring and other things,

Seems  like I aint got nothing done! 

The pastures must  be harrowed,

The roan colt needs some shoes,

Barns and pens need cleaning,

Then there’s the list of Honey-doos.

In between shoeing nags and patching fences,

The garden must get tilled,

But on one chore I’ll not procrastinate,

I got the Humming-bird feeders filled!
