Sweet and Sour pork, Chicken Chow Mien,
Fried rice and prawns, ...combination number three.
It was my favorite late night dinner,
Before anyone ever heard of MSG.
When all our paint and gas was leaded,
There was no such thing as melamine,
We always took the chopsticks home,
So the ones at Wong’s was clean
He bought his chickens locally.
He grew his own bean sprouts.
As to the quality of his cuisine,
There were never any doubts.
Corporate greed and globalization,
Are an inedible combination,
I’m leery about things made across the sea.
And I always have been funny
About where I spend my money,
If I keep it close,
It might come back to me!
