Daybreak At Twilight Ranch
A crisp and frosty, golden morning,
I cinch my saddle and swing on, Horse, snorting, dancing,
full of beans, cold backed in the dawn.
A lot of miles to make today,
But, let's take the first few yards... real slow.
Let that bundle of nerves unwind a bit,
I don't need no rodeo.
I can forget the drought, the BSE,
My problems one and all,
With a good horse beneath my saddle,
gathering cattle in the fall.
