I Missed Arbor Day ?

" I think that I shall never see, a poem as lovely as a tree", Well, I suppose Longfellow was not talking about Chinese Elms or riding a green colt through a Jackpine jungle when he wrote that drivel.

I can't believe it! I missed Earth Day,

Arbor Day and National Poetry Week,

Talk about frustrating, I'm out of chainsaw files

and so tongue tied I can't speak.

If Paul Bunyon had a chainsaw,

our problem would have been solved,

Verdant grasslands stretching from Coast to Coast,

would have long ago evolved.

I remember what Pan Phillips said,

about the ranching in the West.

Of all the new inventions,

Bug-dope and Chainsaws were the best!
