Too exhausted to run, too nervous to stand,
They bawl and mill about.
Wide eyed and spooky and out of breath,
Their tongues still hanging out.
There aint one of them that could tell you,
What caused the dam to burst?
Stampedes are kind of like that...
Herd instinct at its’ worst.
They will all settle down,
A few hours or maybe days.
Panic fades as hunger grows,
They’ll relax and begin to graze.
PS. Compared to stock brokers and financial advisors, cows seem pretty darn smart !
